Baby booties - first try (March 01 - 2011)

I made these baby booties because I wanted to see if I can work with gum paste. It was my first time working with gum paste and did not have any tools (stitching tool, extruder gun), only wanted to get acquainted with this material. It is different than candy clay, it hardens very fast so you have to work fast. I used edible glue made from water combined with tylose powder to assemble the booties pieces. Using the gum paste leftovers I made a small flower too. After they hardened I brushed them with pink luster dust.
I was so pleased with the results, that I decided to buy the tools I needed.
